Current Commercial Projects and Interests
- Technical
support for development of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) landfill
gas recovery projects in S. Africa. Multiple projects with
international partners for sellers of Certified Emission Reductions
(CERs), including private sector and public sector landfill owners
and operators. One project included pre-feasibility assessment of
15 landfill sites. Partners include Lee International (www.go-worldlee.com);

Technical support for commercial LFG recovery projects

Schaumburg, Illinois. Liquid oxidation catalyst process (LO-CAT;
MINI-CAT) for effective removal of hydrogen sulfide from landfill
gas. Includes development of modeling approaches for hydrogen sulfide

- Technical, analytical, planning, and development assistance for
commercial recovery of landfill methane. Multiple U.S.

Carrère, & Denègre L.L.P.(Louisiana).
- Sources of arsenic in waste and formation of volatile arsenic compounds
in landfill gas. For Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts.
- Technical support for NICOR (natural gas sales and pipeline company)
for prospective projects involving purchase of upgraded landfill
gas.
- Multiple projects involving landfill gas trace components: their
occurrence, variability, treatment. Includes volatile siloxanes
(organic silicon compounds), Hg, and other trace components.
